1299s shutting off?

Don't forget guys. VW owns Ducati. If VW themselves were caught with corrupted practices of emission control, and now the new one is Audi (gasoline). I for a fact already know Ducati is part of the emissions scandal, and its only time when they are also exposed. Lamborghini will be next perhaps.. May just be the end of VW corp.

My bike has been at the dealership for a week now trying to get the engine shutting off when clutch is pulled fixed.

I didn't know VW owns Ducati :( hopefully i'll get a good trade in for my bike i think i will get rid of it ...

Same as me
I may have said going from 3 rd to 2nd but thinking about it it's def 2-1

I think this is a common problem in Ducati bikes and they know it that's why the dealership still have my bike in their workshop for a week now waiting for Ducati to talk to them.

Both of my Ducati 1299 got the same problem (engine shutting off when i downshift with a clutch).

I don't know how common a problem it is as mine nor my other friends Pani's do this.
Curious as to what they have your idle speed set at.

Mmm now if my gorgeous husband who is perfect in every way accept he doesn't like Ducati's oh and has never bought me one. If he should develop a fault, I wouldn't desert him id have to work with him to compromise, wouldn't want to give something so beautiful away!!!!
So, I will get dealer to look at my Panigale and meanwhile rev it when changing down at low speed !!

My bike is going to be at the dealership for another week or two - they are waiting for Ducati to send them 2 modules to replace.
I have no idea what those modules are but when my bike is fixed i will post the update so you could get yours fixed too.

note: my engine shuts off when i downshift at low speed or when i pull in the clutch ...

Ok I just got bike out the shop first from westlake Ducati in Thousand Oaks ok then when the dealership closes and I order dinner across the street from the dealership bike stalls oh by the way dealership won't give me a loaner bike anymore. Then I went to del Amo motor sports in Manhattan beach you know god please give me favor wherever I go with my bike they tuned it up and checked everything and the bike still stalled about 4 times that night on 11/17/16 then about 10 times in stop and go traffic from Baldwin Hills by USC to west wood by UCLA then to goodwill off 2 freeway by San Fernando road and the to the la. Live and the la convention center for the la auto show. Now back to Baldwin hills and Culver City area and it just stalls out over and over and the clutch is squeezed all the way to the ground to activate shifting oh and my gears slips from neutral to 2nd some times and I'll do a semi back flip or partial rear end sumersalt by accident a couple of times. Got to make sure I think I'm on neutral but it'll slip into 2nd or neutral by itself. Dude scared to split lanes in Los Angles. Any suggestions! 759 miles and I'm still alive thank you god! Please call me for help let me borrow a video camera to verify my story camera is out of my budget because of bike expenses 323-786-0135 looking for any understanding. Will put bike in race mode again it doesn't matter bike is hot when it acts up or cold on first block average temperatures about 214 degrees

If anyone has been paying attention lately I have not posted in quite some time..

After over $33 K invested and close to two years or aggravation and countless times in the shop I just stopped riding mine No one can fix it and it is just flat out dangerous to ride... (never know when it will stall in the middle of the intersection or suddenly lose power and suddenly slow down in the middle of the freeway.
Bucks and kicks BADLY at any speed below 50 mph...no matter what gear I am in..

Absolutely no fun...Getting tired of looking at it in my garage...Absolutely the worst and the most expensive bike I have ever owned..

:(

Sell it and buy something else.

The clutch switch has more to it than the dealer knows about. According to Mitsubishi, when engaged it has something to do with the QS and the fueling circuit. Try taping that thing engaged as see what happens to your ride. It is def tied to the TPS/Fueling

Yes the micro switch under the clutch lever changes fueling. Wayne Macdonald AKA Tuneboy explained all the detail to me about 2 years ago when I had my bike dyno tuned by him. I posted it all back then but cannot remember all the detail now. As Gecko said, when you can read the parameters from the ECU as Tuneboy can then you can see what is going on.

Thanks I appreciate the offer If I am ever in the UK I will look you up. You are a very cool lady!!
For now I have just been stretched out beyond my pocket book (or patience) with this bike ..

I love the way it looks and handles but has been nothing but trouble
It will run fairly smooth sometimes intermittently ( by smooth I mean it doesn't act like it is going to die on me and doesn't buck and kick as much) but never really as well as the demonstrators or my friends 1299 I have ridden... Dealer cannot figure it out nd simply says the old "That is just the way it is" line.... I am going to sell it if possible and get a Japanese bike the new Kawasaki ZX10R and the 2017 Suzuki GSXR100R are looking good.

I have had it with "Exotic" bikes" To me "Exotic" means expensive to purchase Expensive to keep up and not dependable I just cant handle the uncertainty of not knowing when it is going to die on me while riding iT takes the fun out of it and the local dealer certainly won't take in on trade and give me even half of what I paid for it a little over a year ago....

Oh well Live and learn....

Dibs when you start the part out thread.

Oh dropping bike off again at Del Amo Motorsports Redondo Beach 1299s bike it stopped on me in Harbor City please help I was at Vermont street north bound turning eastbound to Sepulveda for 405 North bound was following buddy in his Bmw lost him after I had to restart bike by pushing start button 3xs bike stalled out just before I was slowing down on Vermont street then I completed turn onto Sepulveda street about 12:30pm 148F about 20 mph. Any suggestions this 11/19/16 849 miles on bike just had tune up etc on

My 1299 rarely stalls. Sometimes it will hiccup which I know the entire bike turns on and off so quickly you won't really notice unless I had the turn signal on or the highbeams on. When it does the hiccup they all reset/turn off.

Only ever happens when I slow to a stop with the clutch pulled in like everyone else. The hiccup is never consistent though. Some days I'll ride all day long and it behaves perfectly.
