Okay, so I'm trying to buy a pair of Kyle Racing 1199 Bar end mounts for my CRG Arrows as I don't like the current mount system supplied by CRG. Got to checkout to find a $14.00 shipping quote... WHAT?????? A 1 pound package the size of my fist, $14.00? Sounds like ebay. Profiting 200% off of shipping. Inexcusable. These will fit with more than enough room in a $5.05 USPS PRIORITY MAIL flate rate shipping box or envelope. I've attempted contacting their customer service but the website contact page never loads after I hit submit.

I see stuff like this on ebay all the time and it sickens me. Like MidAmericaMotorworks that sells parts for my vette- they charge by the dollar amount. So a $300 pair of sunglasses is $40 to ship LOL.....

Anyone else sickened by this practice like I am? This is like people charging $10.00 to ship a DVD on ebay. I understand these shipping systems aren't perfect but $14.00 is a total ripoff. If anyone knows if any of their staff is on here and could PM me I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

Try living in New Zealand, all freight is expensive, half the world dont know where we are and the other thinks we are part of Australia!!!!!! And to boot most of the time they wont ship to us WTF!!!!! I have family in the US ATM and have purchased many things from Ebay that send free or a minimal cost to the 48 states, I have them sent there and then they give it to people coming back so keeps the cost down. Just bought some termignoni slip ons off Ebay and the freight was $126 USD which was not that bad considering the complete purchase inc customs tax here was $2500 NZD at my door, my dealer was quoting $3k for the same item.
So in the large picture yes they should only charge you $5 but $14 is not that bad in the large scheme of things, as long as you get a good quality product at a fair price delivered quickly.

I understand your point completely and just saw your slip on thread. I may pull the trigger on them, I'm not sure yet. I'm a principle man. If it actually cost $14.00 or even $100 to ship I would pay it. But the fact remains that for $5.05 they can put these things in a small post office box for $5.00. If they offer the $5.05 shipping I will buy from them. If they don't honor my request my business will never go to them :)

Good luck in your part of the world. I know international shipping gets very hectic. I do (and did much more in the past) business on ebay and have avoided any shipping outside the 48 states to avoid any of those problems.

I would buy the same bar ends from Kyle Racing but the shipping is $24.00 to Canada so that's out.
It doesn't make sense to me. I can order parts from the UK and get shipping for less than half. Go figure.

Shipping this size package to Canada would be about $14.00. Again a $10.00 overcharge. These people manufacture these ends for probably less than $10.00 (therefore they have a KILLER profit margin) and yet they profit on shipping. I love the people who try to argue "handling" costs. They are a cost of doing business. All they need to do is throw them in fixed rate box (provided for free) and seal it. My business has gone away from any company charging more then what the label says.

Hang on a second, businesses are in business to make money? Get the .... out, I can't believe it!

Honestly, you have a $25k bike and you just wasted this much of your time to complain about a $14 shipping charge? LOL I wish I could get anything shipped to me for $14.

This is a first world problem at its finest.

Im with you, it's the principle. They say shipping is $14 like thats how much they're being charged; it's just shady. If they said shipping is a flat rate $14 for everything that's understandable.

The dumbest ....... argument in the world is that you bought a 25k bike and you bitch about $14 shipping. I could spend 50k on the Panigale, but it doesn't mean I want to.

It costs $3 for a coke at fast food place, fountain soda, that cost them 10 cents to fill. Do you complain to the manager that there's a 3000% markup on it? You can buy a whole 2L coke at the grocery store for 99 cents.

Come on, the price is listed in black and white, if you don't like it buy it elsewhere. Try living outside 'Murica, then you'd have something to complain about when it comes to shipping. Not only do we have to pay huge amounts for shipping, scumbag companies like FedEx and UPS charge a $55 brokerage fee and you have to pay import tax. Yep, they literally charge $55 to check a tickbox to say the item has been 'inspected'.

Here in 'Merica its $1 for the largest side you could ever want at fast food places.

It's $1 on special at McDonalds during the summer, I wouldn't consider that most places. That's still a massive markup...

I'm not really sure why this is a big surprise that people will mark things up in order to make money. It's how a business works, if they sold everything at cost they'd close the doors after day 1.

many places don't set themselves up for USPS. There are some issues with shipping USPS vs UPS/Fedex. . That might not always work out for the consume for small items, but thats the way it goes.. if you don't want to order from them - order it elsewhere. .

I've dealt with Kyle racing before. They are top notch and one of the most knowledgeable and experienced Ohlins dealers out there. . Their shipping is more than reasonable on every order I've ever placed from them. I think you're getting caught up in the "small potato"s problem. I've ordered thousands of dollars of stuff from them and the shipping only worked out to $20 or something. .. So, its obvious that you order something that small, you get caught up in the minimum shipping, dimensional weight, etc, etc.

But seriously - they haven't hidden anything. If you don't like it - move on. They aren't forcing you to buy anything. .

Most of the time I order when working out of the States the shipping is free. Having anything shipped to Spain is a waste of time because they either nail your balls to the wall for import duty or as with all my CF parts [$800 worth] sent them back to the UK. But that's because the Spanish are f*cking idiots!

Termignoni's just arrived, pull the pin, buy them!!!! Worth every cent and that's just looking at them in the box!!!!

The freight pricing is the same here on our equivalent Trademe, some people charge for handling etc, yes Frosty they are in business to make money not friends, however you lose potential repeat customers by overcharging on freight, have owned my own business before and never had these issues as never ripped people on freight, had fixed prices and negotiated a better buy price from the frieght company, yes made a small margin but charged the same as anyone else could pay at the freight company, everyone a win win.

I just bought the bar ends from Kyle Racing myself and yes I agree $14 is expensive for shipping such a small light item. Just out of curiosity I checked to see what the price was to ship the bar ends and mirrors from them and it was still $14. So I guess that's just how they work and at the end of the day those are the bar ends I wanted. So, after all the $$$ I've spent on parts and other stupid stuff what's another $14...

So there you have it...a minimum shipping charge. All this whining by the OP for nothing.
