I am adding this thread to post progress pics of the mods I add to my 2019 V4S. I will update the subject line once I come up with a name for the bike - which I can't really do until I ride her outside of the break-in period. This first photo is the bike as-delivered, with the tinted tall visor. I also added a fused ring connector for the battery tender, a carbon tank protector, and Progrip 717 hand grips.

I have a tail tidy on order as well that will go on next week, and need to select a set of tank grips before I get her outside of the break-in RPM. She's slippery.

Please chime in on any must-have accessories you recommend.

A virgin V4, welcome to the club! Check out stomp grip for your tank. I preferred it over the R&G because it was clear. Also, motomillion has some cheap brake caliper reflector deletes. [emoji1419]

Nice! Thanks for the tip.

Which profile did you go with? Do you have any pics for how they look on the bike? The web site has pics but it's pasted on - not a real pic.

Great work

get some radiator guards

dont get throttle spacers, if you ride track

look for a nice slip on with the t800 map And bmc race filter

frame carbón covers

get your suspension preload set

why not the spacer?

please do recommend a guard that really works. As my experience didn’t work out too well, water temp rise because to much area been blocked. I’m on the fence of the guards, your comments might put me over the top! Thanks

about the guards i have CNC racing, have worked well

the Spacers on track, as the throttle play is complétely eliminated, while on the brakes the bike continues accelerating a bit

maybe 1 % or 2% But you will notice

i found out the hard way, and took them off

Predominantly, that’s my riding plan, I’m going to test spacer out next track day!

I have had those spacers for a few years now and never noticed that or road or track. If you let go of the throttle does the bike not return to idle ?

For the OP think about a 520 chain conversion. You can save a lot of weight and add some nice looking equipment at the same time. A lot of options for colours etc. I tired to upload a pic but it was too large.

I'm happy with the look of the Evotech radiator and oil cooler guards that I installed today. Turned out very nice but it was difficult dismantling and reassembling the whole thing. Needed three arms and fair bit of muscle (everything fits so tightly) but got it eventually. And I recommend an 8mm ratcheting ring spanner for the pair of nuts that hold the oil cooler - there is no space for sockets and little room to lever a normal spanner. Point to note because the instructions don't mention it, the curved radiator guard actually clips in tightly, very neatly, both vertically and horizontally within the silver box section of radiator itself. It's a spring fit from side to side requiring you to bend the guard by applying thumb pressure from one side. I think a lot of people just prop it in there but it actually clips in. If you get it right there is no gap between the Evotech brand and the mid frame immediately below. The oil cooler guard just sits loosely in front of the radiator grill in the V formed by its similar surrounding box section. When you re-affix the plastic surround to the two radiators and the bike itself this squashes the oil guard firmly in place. Sounds easy doesn't it. It wasn't. But perseverence gets you there.20200411_003923.jpg
