I just picked up a 2013 1199R and was wondering if what Im noticing is normal or not. Usually when I am blipping the throttle or taking off from a low RPM, the throttle is very responsive and the revs will increase quickly. However, sometimes it feels as if the revs are not increasing as quickly and the bike isnt making nearly the same amount of power. And then after a couple of seconds they will go back to normal. Has anyone else ever noticed this? Any ideas or suggestions?

I have the same machine as you just picked up and from new have never experienced this problem. Always an immediate response from any rpm except for sometimes being momentarily sluggish coming off idle.

My 13R never had a response problem but I just have around 3K miles. Mostly track.

I doubt it. The dtc, in my experience, is very subtle, very well implemented, even at the higher settings. In the winter I frequently ride in cold, wet conditions with pretty much default "WET" settings with the relatively low power map combined with max dtc and haven't noticed what you describe.

You're in Sport mode. Does it act the same in Race mode?
