I am very much looking forward to the launch and general availability of this bike in North America. I really like the Hi-Tech design and the DP accessories look great.

Maybe this bike will be a huge surprise success for Ducati.

Me too. This bike looks good. Possibly a great summer commuter when the heat gets bad down here...

I must admit... I was seriously considering getting a Hyperstrada, but now I'm torn and am considering getting a Hypermotard SP and swapping the tail end out for the Hyperstrada so I can have the Ducati bolt in luggage option.

This was definitely one of my favorite Ducati's at the booth!

big downside of the hyperstrada is non adjustable front forks. Crazy to have that on a $14k bike

Ducati have posted all the DP accessories for the Hypermotard SP on their website.

Update : The bolt-on luggage is a DP accessory option for the Hypermotard SP.

As an aside, I mentioned to a few people that I was interested in this bike and I was quite surprised by the number of other people interested in it. Since throwing a deposit down quite a few people are joining me.

i want these marzocchi stickers on the forks :D

Hypermotard forum could be getting real busy by the looks of things :)

It's a very interesting design IMO - while not as bold as the original, it still manages to distance itself from that generic utilitarian look.

+1 .. yes. :)

Dare I say a modern man's monster ?

Yup, but while I visually find the Monster a little unrewarding, I think this Hyper could be a sleeper that your appreciation multiplies for once home in the garage.

The tail and seat for example - high set beautiful lines.

Now, swap some plastics for CF, sort the mirrors, termi, add the DP tail tidy and you have the foundation for a very trick scoot

Just looking at the two models and thinking that maybe a red Ducati would look good in the garage.

The SP colour scheme, dare I say, is a little Yamaha Anniversary

I ordered one last week. Should be here in April

Good move zvez. We shall no doubt benefit from your spannering experience when it arrives :)

The ranks are starting to grow...
