Get used to the turbo 4's.
It's ford's new way of the future.

The 8 will be great, and it's well sorted out.
I will be watching this one closely.
The only problem is that i'll have to sell my 2006 HSV GTO (and it's a good car) to make room for the Stang.
A lot will depend on the build quality of the Stang, and i'm hoping it's better than the Falcon.

It's interesting that it's got the Falcon IRS in it, only instead of it being steel like the one in the Falcon, it's aluminium to reduce weight:)

Its still a Ford...;)

lol but its a good looking one. Great lines on the car. I have a Lexus, Ford, Yamaha, KTM, Ducati and Dodge. I have the brand loyalty of an underpaid hooker.

By the specs it's a great little motor.
But just wrong I feel for the stang.

There aren't a lot of 4cyl falcons, and not even the LPG ones either.

The Mustang should be a very good car for the money. It will have an Independent rear suspension, and they make some very good engines. I would buy one over a Camaro because it is lighter, more practical and you don't feel like you are sitting in a bunker like the Camaro. I've owned both Fords and Chevy's so I'm not biased, but I admit I'm a little bit of a Corvette snob over the Mustang as I have owned seven Corvettes. But if you can get into a 420hp Mustang GT for low $30s there is no way to beat that value.

I agree with the Camaro feel but I dont like the way the Covette feels as well. Disconected and you sit low and far back. I have not driven the newer mustangs abut from what I read, they over a great about of feed back and feel for the driver. I (and others) would say the Mustang and the M3 are probably the biggest rivals in the Sub 60K. Camaro isn't even in the picture anymore.

M3 is really not sub 60K - most of them sitting on lots (if there are any more) are over $70k.

I'm not sure I understand your comment about the Corvette sitting low and back - that's how sports cars sit. Disconnected is a bit of an overstatement as well in my mind, but I won't argue that the steering could be better (the C7 supposedly is). I've had four C6's including a Z06 and it's a hell of a car. But I get that everyone has a right to their subjective opinions.

I was just quoting the rag magz about the M3. Google "Corvette steering feel". I am one of thousands that dislike the feel ,or lack of, with the Corvette. Drive a M3/M5/M6 and then a Corvette C6/C5, the feeling is dramatically different. The Corvette handles amazingly but its the feel that I dont like. I also Dont like the way you sit in the car. I have never been in any other car that sits the driver so low in the drivers seat. Its just me. I have always loved the Z06 (C5/C6 both). When it came time to buy one, I just didnt like the feel. Any I'm not a BMW fan boy, I just love the way they handle, hate just about everything else. I'm a Porsche Fan (non owner, yet)

I think Ford hit a homerun on the exterior and interior (and from what I have seen/read the electronics too). The Ecoboost I4 (turbo and direct injection) is nice for a four, but no (direct injection) on the V8! C'mon Ford, the heads have had the bosses in them since 2011! No 8,9,or 10 speed automatic either. Also, use Tremec 6-7 transmissions, not the crappy ZF garbage. It better have lost 200-400lbs as they claimed, so it has a better chance to compete against the competition.

Other than that, the car is beautiful! Ford is my favorite brand, so I only want to see them do well.

I think it will do well. I was reading about the rear independent suspension and all the work they had to do. They thought they could keep the front end off the old car, nope all new design the whole way around. Glad they did it right

I really like the 2015 mustang. I like the 2013/2014 Shelby's as well. I don't really care for the new Camaro's. I liked how jjsC6 put it "it's like sitting in a bunker". That's one of the biggest things I don't like about the Camaro. It's still a very good car just not for me I guess. I can't wait to see what Ford does for the 2015 Cobra. It should be interesting.

See, whats pathetic about the Mustang is that it took Chevy's releasing of the 2010 Camaro to finally give Ford a kick in the .... to start putting more than 300-ish horsepower, and a ..... sub 5.0L engine in a pony car... If it weren't for Chevrolet releasing the SS, ZL1, Z28, COPO, the 2015 Mustang would probably be the same generation since 2009, with sub 400HP, and still drive like an old buick. Oh, and they wouldn't have IRS!

Having previously owned a 2010 1SS Camaro, I'm not a big fan of this class of car... The whole 2+2 design is stupid IMO. The typical male (or female) thinking when it comes to buying a Mustang or Camaro over a coupe such as a Corvette is that they can take the wife/husband and "the kids...." How stupid... Stick with your Fusion or Malibu for the kids, buy a Vette for having fun!

I've been dying to pick up a new C7 :O they're incredible machines at a bargain price! Unfortunately the Duck would have to go though, and thats not happenin'

If I had a car with that written of the speedometer, I think I would say something like...

Cabin Crew, take your seats!!!!!

Nice, different without being too different. I've had four Mustangs in my driving career and they've gotten better and better each time. My favorite was the '03 Cobra with the supercharger. It was way too much engine for the independent rear suspension, lots of wheel hop.
