This forum needs some love too. Because I am in love with the Hyper. [emoji177]

Who else loves the Hyper as much as I do?

I had the 2013 SP, and now I am looking to add 2017 SP. Got all the upgrades that previous one didn't have!

I've debated adding a 939 SP for like the last 4 months. They seem so cool and versatile.

Definitely recommend at least throwing a leg over one.

I have just as much fun on the track with the Hyper as I do with the Panigale. Actually maybe a little more. But the difference is that she makes a great commuter too. When it's sunny here in Southern California (pretty much every day :) ) I ride to work. My commute goes from 45 minute drive to about 26 minute ride...and a lot less stress.

I've owned and sold an 1100S and an 821SP and I miss them both every day. My 1100S was my first Ducati and definitely was a mistake to sell as it was quite unique:

Can't decide if I buy another one again or a new Monster 1200S as a daily commuter.

Almost bought a third one after borrowing this SP for a session too :D

Nice! I've never ridden the 1100 but I'd imagine it's stupid fun too. Growing up on dirty bikes I chose the Hyper because it seemed so familiar and after trying to ride the Panigale to work I realized that wasn't fun. It's a tall bike and I'm a short dude but it doesn't bother me. I can only tippy toe one leg at a time at a traffic light. Every dirt bike I've owned is like that for me so you learn to deal with it. My other choice would have been a Monster and still might some day. They are just so cool. I've been putting off riding one because I know I'd be hooked. I don't know how you resisted not buying a third after borrowing the SP. Ha. I bought mine after taking the Panigale in for the 600mi service and taking a demo Hyper for the day. I knew right then I had to have one.

One legger at Laguna. It's all I could do keep one toe on the ground. Hahaha

Dave, too funny brother. I’ve been itching for a hyper as well the last several months. Literally just picked up an SP yesterday so your post is timely! I put 170 miles on it in two days and I’m in love. Haven’t had this much fun on two wheels in a long time. It’s such a great change of pace from the FE and just as much fun. Wheelies like crazy and begs you to push in the corners. Only issue for me so far is the ground clearance. Scrapping my boots/pegs during hard lean angles. Other than that she’s sublime. Need to take her to the track next!!

Come on Kevin! stop buying bikes ;)

Haha!! Bro, it's seriously gotten out of hand. I'm admitting myself to a mental institution. I've gone totally over the deep end. My 998r is getting the final touches done. I will post some pics when it arrives. I will be done after that I promise. Unless a 996r presents itself :D

on the bright side, now get full Termi for the Hyper so in a few months I can buy it off you :)

Haha that's awesome brotha! The more you ride her the more in love you will be. Yeah I recommend CNC Racing rearsets. I have them set all the way up. I still scrape my toe but I no longer drag the pegs. Plus they give you better adjustment with the levers, which there isn't much with the stock levers. Really nice quality and you can run them GP shift if you prefer. I also added a quickshift because I became so accustomed to it with the Panigale.

Oh man. Sounds like some mods I need! Which quick shift set up did you go with? Can you get an autoblipper too for downshifts? Love the gold wheels!

That's awesome! I would have never guessed how much fun the Hyper is on tighter tracks.

:D true. The dragster is equally as fun but they are different animals. Dragster isn’t as torquey as the Hyper. It’s got a stiffer suspension as well and more maniac top end. Shorter wheel base as well and seat height at least 3 inches lower than the hyper. Dragster likes to be ridden in a more traditional sense. The hyper begs you to ride like a nut 100% of the time. Wheelies and burnouts are a frequent occurrence when I’m on that bike!
