Has anyone replaced the exhaust cover on there v4 with a carbon fiber one?? How bad was it to do?? Seems like the whole dam bike needs to come apart for this mod?? Let me know, nothing on google or YouTube

It depends if the carbon one also replaces the smaller portion closer to the shock.

What carbon fiber part are you considering?

It's not that bad though. If you have to remove the rear subframe buy a lot of small zip ties...

Kev call me tomorrow and i will explain. I think its easier to remove the stock heat shield than on the 1299. Here is a video. Go to the 1:25 min mark and watch from there. You wont have to pull the entire bike apart like the dude in this video. I actually figured out a way to change the the heat shield on the 1299 which was much easier than how Ducati said to do it. Take a look at this video. Let me know if you need an Ilmberger carbon heat shield. I have a bunch of ilmberger parts on order so If I keep adding to the order before its finally fully filled I get an additional discount because of all the parts I have on order.

On the V4 the exhaust shield is two pieces. The outer part which is most visible on the right side of the bike is easy to take off. To remove the other part you need to remove the rear subframe IIRC.

Hello, how did you do it without removing the sub frame. I'm about to lose my mind on this one
seems impossible without at least lifting the subframe. it's not as intimidating as i'd thought. i'm right in the middle of installing full six cover. quality looks good. check it:

those bolts are in there good. torx T40 with a breaker bar.

(fist bump to my NC V4 brotha from anotha mutha)

Rear subframe should be disconnected to get this done. Saves more time and grief than trying to leave it together. Just got the Fullsixx one installed.
