2021 SF V4S--Shop labor "book" time for squirter replacement

Hello All, 1st post be gentle.

2021 SF V4S with 4K miles started leaking coolant from the squirter assembly, both of the local authorized repair shop in Houston are 3+ weeks out so I bought the part and replaced it myself, I don't know if that part can be replaced out/in the left side but I went down from the top so I could be sure the hose clamps had proper torque.

The bike is under warranty and I'm going to ask Ducati to reimburse me for the parts and labor so if anyone has information that will help me justify the claim it's appreciated.

Maybe i don't know anything but I've never heard of doing a job yourself and being reimbursed by a manufacturer for a part and/or labor. I would assume that if you decided to not wait and do the job yourself, Ducati would tell you you're on your own.
 
Yes I'm confident that they will tell me to pound sand, that isn't the question, the question is does anyone know what the Ducati labor book time is to replace the thermostat/squirter?
 
Considering the process requires removal of the entire airbox/throttle body assembly, I wouldn't be surprised if Ducati charged around 8 or more hours for it. Most shops charge around 7 for exhaust install and that's an easier job.
 
$1000 in labor for the exhaust. I can see removing the airbox at least being equal to that. Its a harder job IMO but not necessarily more time consuming.
 
The part the OP is holding in the first post in this thread is a water temperature sensor.

For some Italian reason unknown, the black plastic part which all of the coolant hoses attach to is called the squirter assembly.
 
Installing radiator guards and frame sliders, I believe I have seen the squirter. I will be mindful of leaks. Squirter... lol
