Does anyone know if the 2022 lower fairings are a bolt on to the 2021? I like the extra vents!

Having to buy new lower fairings on top of the $5k exhaust is a bit of a kick in the nuts. Only the black part is different. I would favor a better design where only that section was changed, leaving the red painted part. Its nice to hear of that design change.

I am ordering a set to try and FYI they made a change for 2022. If you have a full exhaust there is now a add-on piece that extends instead of purchasing a new set of lowers.
Is there a part number we can order yet? I have been searching but don't think it's out yet. I am referring to the whole 2022 lower fairing.

With the new fairings you don't have to replace the whole thing when going to the under bike Akrapovic system. Only the unpainted black section is changed.

If you can find that part which matches the profile needed for the under bike style Akra system then that's all you'd change. There is a company making them in carbon fiber, if that's your thing.

Otherwise, maybe one of the aftermarket fairing companies will release a lower with the extra venting and the cutout for the under bike system

Yeah, that's what I like about the new fairings - just a small change to the cover.

Its not really glue, they are heat riveted. You can get a carbon fiber section which takes the place of it but you have to drill holes and use screws instead of the heat (melted plastic) rivets.

The painted plastic part is exactly the same.

The race ones don't come with the sound deadener panels, but the standoffs for them are there.

the new 2022 lower std panels and the black bits for Akra exhausts are fitted differently....they use large washers and screw not stuck like the older ones
