Hi, Ide just like to say hi folks, Just joined the forum today, Have a 2023 V4S and loving it, Traded my 23 Superduke R,
Does anyone know what the difference is between the 2021-22 and the 2023 Streetfighter original silencer? Will the earlier one fit the 23 model? I notice they both have a different part number.

Hi Jack. You got my curiosity up, especially since that arrow looks so good. The Arrow with black tip and yellow sticker to match the Ohlins is a really good match for the red SF. Why do you need the stock exhaust? The 23s are a different shape than the first editions and look a bit sleeker, but I’m sure someone else will chime in that knows more that I do.

Wish you were a bit closer to San Francisco, I'd happily trade you the stock exhaust off my 2024 for yours + cash!

Go see an audiologist and splash for some quality earplugs. They are worth every cent.

Couldn’t be any further away 😂

Even the basic tube-style foam ones make a big difference. I use them just because I like the quieter environment they make. Some of the lighter helmets don’t block out the sound as much and its just nice to have them even if your bike is not so loud.

Nice SF!

To answer your question, there are some slight differences, but they will not affect the fit in between the years. It is mostly related to some heat shielding behind the silver covers, as well as a potentially different type of catalytic converter used. No effect on function or fitment

Flanges and positions are identical. Look at it from a tooling cost perspective … they rather keep it the same

I must be getting old because I find the Arrow way to loud, I’m gutted because it’s a nice bit off kit

I love my loud arrows, but sometimes they are too loud for other road users. Rolling up to lights and I'm behind a vehicle, I can see the concern of the driver and passengers, even the dog starts to get distressed and starts howling and whatnot. Copped some abuse from one driver.

So I bought a set of honeycomb db killer inserts off ebay cheap. I then removed the mufflers and insert the honeycomb inserts into the link pipes, they are 51mm. I then installed the db killers into the mufflers and reinstalled the mufflers.

Tested before and after, and now have a 12db drop at idle but sounds thumpy. This way I could still keep the arrows on.
