I finally hit 1k miles on my 1199 so I wanted to post my thoughts/feelings on her. I have always ridden Jap Liter Bikes before Her. Today I decided to brave "Race Mode"! Everything I knew about riding Sportbikes was useless. I've always had to nestle or make a bike move, she does not want it nor need it. She was perfectly happy doing her own thing while I was wrestling with the overwhelming desire to pull over and smoke and take a shower ;) , If you have never put your bike in Race mode or havent gotten your bike yet, you are in for a real nice surprise. Imagine the greatest, hottest fantasy/sex you've ever had and amplify it quantitatively to the nth degree then you have made it half way there. Really there are no words for this glorious lady and her ability to curl my toes after 20 years of riding liter bikes. I cannot wait to play with Race Mode on the track next week. There really are no words so I will leave you with a few pics that showed my true emotions on this ride.

Lmao!!! Make sure you move the TC up to 4 or 5 and then back it off slowly throughout the day as you get comfy. Race mode makes the throttle like an on/off switch, and it will light the rear tire in an instant, anywhere on the track. I typically have it in sport when coaching novice and intermediate, it's just less clunky while going slow. If it's a tpm day you are referring too, we need to ride together for some photo ops for you!

Yessir all of my Trackdays are TPM days. And I'd love some pani on pani pics and coaching. I have it at 4 right now so I'll slowly let it down. On the street I found Race to be smoother and less jerky than sport mode, but then again I felt like I was high atm.

When I adjusted all the suspension damper settings the wrong direction:

Seriously, only Italy makes "0" the stiffest setting. WTH.

Yeo just like I figured EBC 1 was the lowest nope. choking the bike out. And love the Chebra eating grilled cheese lol

I run the same settings in both Race and Sport, the only difference between the two of them is Low or High. I actually prefer low in the tight stuff when modulating the throttle a lot.

I think you mean WTF what the f#$k:D

Yep - was dealing with a WTF situation at the office right before I saw that. Voila - new desktop!

Everyone who walks in and sees it gets this odd look on their face, and I say, "Exactly!" ;)

Wait 'til you pair her up with Full akrapovic, it's like greatest sex ever, but with 2 women.

Maybe I am the only really cheap ....... on here, but I just cannot stomach $4000 for a motorcycle exhaust system..

I paid that for my truck and car exhaust COMBINED.

you pay what it's worth to you.

i bought a GROM instead.

since i sold my own exhaust to a member here, i am currently running the stock cans.

meh. time to cut them up...

For the cost conscious few here, myself included (it is a Ducati Superbike forum after all). The Akras cost $3300 full, $2600 for slip on if you shop around and do your own install. That's about 15% of the Bike's cost, does it make the bike 15% better, hell yeah.

I held off for 2 years before installing an exhaust. Feels like I was cheated for 2 years having thought I spend for $20k on a Ducati, but finally now it rides a like a $20k Ducati.

Money well spend.

How long did it take you to hit 1000 miles?

I don't think I'll manage 10 miles before I try race mode. I was about 4 miles in on my buddies S1000RR HP4 before I switched it to race mode.
