Advice on shifter lever height

I trying to adjust the height ( I want to lower it) of my shift pedal / lever. It's way to high. I wen I shift gears I feel like I have to lift my foot off the peg to bring my foot up high enough to engage the next gear! I've tried twisting the linkage but it doesn't to seem to do anything?

You need to pull off the rear set, disconnect the linkage from the shift lever. Undo locking nut from said linkage and adjust in proper direction desired. Reassemble and try out fit. Once you get it where you like it, locktite it all back to proper torque spec, and enjoy....the DQS takes away from the easy of adjustment like the old way of adjusting these...
