Just had my front valve cover gasket replaced. The jack wagons left tube undone from the fan box and theres what appears to be oil everywhere. Photos to be attached. Can I place this tube where it goes and ride on or is this a bigger issue?

Hi mate,
It's not a worry. The tube actually inserts into another small tube that has its end pinched ( like a camel back bite piece).

I found it easier to pull this piece out make sure it's attached to the hose and then re insert into the slot if the fan housing.

Before that though I would give this area a good, but gently clean up with detergent, it's pretty messy.

Shouldn't have that much oil everywhere

Pretty good advice there Jock. I would clean it up. Put the tube in and then go for a ride. Oil spread everywhere always looks worse than it is. If the oil does not come back like that after 20 miles you have no problem. Let us know how you go.

Thanks all. Had heard back from my shop that did the service too. I cleaned the area, my air box, air filter, all the oil. Reinserted the tube and went for a ride. I'll do some thorough looking in a bit to see how it's all looking. Thanks for the replies all
