Ever since I test rode the Panigale a year ago. I know I wanted one. so I waited and waited for this model. this was announced at the EICMA show last november and I ordered right away. I thought the bike will never arrive but after 6 months of waiting, my dealer called me and said that my bike is already here. I can not wait for the weekend so I can ride my new babt

Did you hear that a HUGE ice storm is heading to Manilla. A real freak of nature!:D

CONGRATS!!!

The first time I rode the Panigale was a year ago at world ducati week in my country. My impression is that it is very fast and corners great but the heat it emits is very harsh.

Yesterday I rode the R for the first time for around 110miles to my favorite twisty road. the upmap is already installed as with the full exhaust and I have to say, this bike is really a beast. When I rode back home, I encountered traffic but I was surprised that the heat is very minimal!! how can this be, I am used to getting my ... and legs fried ridding Ducati sport bikes but such as not the case.

I observed my bike and I noticed that it has a very big cover for the exhaust and the cylinder heads are also covered. look at this picture

I took a picture of my friends Panigale and I could see that the cylinder head is a bit exposed

With the R, you may not see the magnesium cylinder head cover, you have a plastic cover instead. But the heat is very maneagable.

Will Ducati give away the cylinder covers for free? if so have it installed in your bike right away
