It does help. The shape of the rear header is also different and it doesn't get as close to the seat.
I also removed the plastic engine cover on the rear cylinder head. I think they are there more for noise and for people who ride in shorts.

I switched to quality riding jeans instead of flip flops and swim trunks. Don’t even notice the heat anymore
but yeah the V4 can leave the skin on yer legs blistered for weeks if you trynn dress like a cool guy and try n hit your daily 200mph
maybe some gold foil would help but idts
