i run 14T since ~7000 miles.

stock chain and sprocket.

no computerizing required.

top speed 183 mph (at road atlanta)

slightly longer wheelbase due to uncut chain - better against the front coming up.

i love it.

detailed answer

i want to go 14/41 - just get the front sprocket

1- do i have to update the ecu? no
2- the 520 is it worth it for ONLY street? a lot of racers go 520
3-dont want quick change - ok
4-is stock chain as correct #links? - i assume yes
5-were cant i get a good kit cheap? - ask google ;)
6- dose top speed suffer a lots? ( just to know) - not that i could tell

I went 15/ 42 and like this
I also did 520 the conversion..
I have lost top end but have gained more bottom which I find useful for day to day traffic riding..

I'm running -1 on my R which was installed during new bike prep. Did the same on my S on the first service. Works well

Tom

2012 Model with 14/39, stock chain and rear sprocket, very easy, cheap and probably enough acceleration for most. Except if this is a track only bike???

2014 stock is 15/41? I f so, then I'm sure you can do 14/41 with the stock chain...

The stock set up is 15/39 on the pani s 2014... ive just looked at it on ducati canada website

I am running a 525 quick change setup with a 15/42 sprockets. I wanted to do a 14/39, but my research suggested that going smaller in the front may prejudice power output compared to going bigger at the rear (something to do with tighter radius sprockets transfer power less effectively than bigger radius sprockets (not that I would notice the difference, but still...) so I went bigger at the rear.
