Hey everyone, I've always been in love with the panigale and I think the line peaked with the 1299S. I like the idea that it has the biggest engine ever fitted to the panigale platform, I think it is the best looking panigale (much prettier than the v4), and I appreciate that they worked a lot of he kinks out by the time the 1299 came to fruition as 1299's seem to be much more reliable than the 1199's.

Lately I've been seriously contemplating adding a 1299S to the stable, to keep my s1000rr company. I've always wanted a 1299S but could never really justify it, however, now with prices coming down, I have been genuinely tempted to pull the trigger.

Are there any local 1299S owners in Southern California that would be interested in meeting up to show off their bike & give me their perspective on owning the sexiest bike ever made? :)

You got that right!

The looks and the L-twin are the reasons i stick with the 1299S. Will never go V4.

I agree fully. Which is exactly how I feel about my s1k. I feel the '10-'14 s1000rrs were perfect. The brand new ones just don't do anything for me. Same thing here.. On the V4, they completely ruined the front end styling, & even the fairings are ugly in comparison. The 1299s has beautiful lines & curves at EVERY angle. I'm sure the v4s is faster and 'better', but the 1299s is the one that does it for me. Not to mention an 1103cc 4 cylinder vs a 1285cc twin, there's going to be a significant low end torque difference. Glad someone else sees it my way!
