ASV Lever Issue

Hey all,

Installed my shorty ASV levers and noticed they don't close all the way to the handlebar. I also noticed my DQS is off and won't let me turn it on/save it (memory is grayed out on dash). My buddy who is a Ducati mechanic said it felt funny although it does engage and doesn't seem to be too bad.

Anybody have some insight on these levers and the issues I'm dealing with.

Thanks in advance

You can see and hear the micro switch on the bottom side of the master

I know QS is tied into the clutch switch but I don’t know how it all works

@Mick1976

I have had ASV installed on my 1299s since 2017...not shorty, standard size, but have not had any issue. For DQS error, maybe reset ECU, pull battery terminals for a few minutes. On a separate note, I tried to install ASV levers on my 2021 Streetfighter V4s and they did feel a little strange with clutch pull. Wasn't really happy with where the clutch was engaging/disengaging, so i pulled them off and returned to stock levers after about 2-3 days.

@cgorm12 dont listen to Don14. This guy is a clown and a thief. Dude did time for vin # jobs on cars and bikes. Makes up stories about designing and building drag racing exhausts. Has 1237 posts since joining this forum Nov 2020. How do I know he is a thief and did time. He told me on the phone. He would call me at 1230 am, 130 am and sometimes at 2am. I realized he was full of .... when we were discussing the IMA special parts adjustable triple clamps he bought from me and wanted to install my 2 bush's from my 1299 into his 1199. Those two parts go on top of the neck and bottom. Then you slide the shaft through and attach the tip and bottom triple clamp. Just some info on this matter. The top and bottom bush on the 1299 are the same part # meaning both the top and bottom are the same. Here is a link to ebay so you can see what Im talking about Bush Eccentric Frame Bushing Ducati Panigale 1299 S 15 19 | eBay He posted a question whether he could install them on his 1199 and gave some dumb ... reason. Forum member told him over and over and over not to. Now the the bush's for an 1199 have two different part #'s because the top and bottom are both different. And the reason he was told that the 1299 ones wouldnt work was due to the rake difference on the 1199 and 1299. Regarding the adjustable IMA triple trees he ordered from, no matter what I said about the rake remaining the same he would go on and on about things that made no sense. And other bike related things that I wont even get into made him sound like a lunatic. The dude just spews utter nonsense or regurgitates things he read online that he googled just to answer a question.

Plenty of guys know about him.If he buys something from them they dont even put their real address on the shipping label because they dont want him knowing their address. He tagged @Mick1976 in his post to you. Im not sure why he tagged him. Mick is one of the many forum members who calls Don out on his ......... But Don being Don thinks by tagging Mick he can get into Micks good graces. And regarding Don writing that the clutch is tied into the QS. No .......Don. Anyone with even the slightest knowledge knows that. But Don have you researched the 1199 and 1299 QS issues and how many go bad? Have you read about how many were warrantied out while the bikes were under warranty. Or how many guys had issues with the QS after their warranties expired. There was a design flaw with the 1199 and 1299 OEM quickshifter. cgorm trust me this dude is bad news. Plenty of forum members call him out on his ........ responses. Now its Dons turn to say something. Im sure he will cry about my 2 bush's he never received from me. But he screwed himself which is why he didnt receive them. Cgorm Im sure you can attest that when dealing me I try my best to get answers and keep you up to date on things. Even if it takes me a few hours to get back to you I have some sort of answer that help you out or keeps you up to date on parts you ordered from me. And you know this for a fact....I would rather discuss issues on the phone and take my time to explain things to you as well as talked you out of buying things that you may have not needed. As well as offered you 2 different brand quickshifters to replace yours at my dealer cost because Im not greedy. I would rather see my customers ride their bikes and not make a dime than have them sit around because that one part they need is expensive. Sorry for high jacking your post but its time for Don to get a dose of his own medicine.

@cgorm12 here a link to a potential customer. I approached him and like I wrote you in the beginning do a search on my name and see for yourself that I never screwed anyone over and that my prices are extremely fair. And I dont tell people parts are in stock if they arent. Or I dont give people unrealistic delivery times even though the companies I am a dealer for like Bellissimoto for example that shows a part is out of stock and it shows 1-2 weeks on their website. However I know from past history that its not always 1-2 weeks and give a longer time frame. But sometimes the parts come in quicker than I anticipated. I also wrote that potential customer like I wrote you before you placed your first order. If you wanted, start a post about me and ask others to post their dealings with me. If Im not mistaken Cgorm you actually approached me after someone recommended me. But the guy from this link is actually the first person to actually ever start a post about me LOL. I was actually honored. Then of course as usual Don comes on and bashes me and spreads lies. I most likely lost this guy as a customer because he has ignored all my messages to him with prices and time frames of the parts i have him prices on. I spent a lot of time breaking every thing down so he would have a better understanding. And if he went to someone else at least I gave him enough knowledge where another dealer wouldnt shove the most expensive parts down his throat. But as usual Don had to write his ........ lie. On this link that Im attaching if you go to page 2. You will see this one forum member named Tbare who was skeptical about ordering anything from me because of the one thing Don keeps writing about me. But took a chance and ordered from me. Now he will be a long time customer. But how many forum members are scared to take a chance because of the blatant lies Don spreads about me. And each time he gets more vague on what transpired because he saw in the beginning he ........ wasnt working. Now he is getting bolder. I would love to block to him. However if I do then i wont be able to see his ........ lying replies on posts where my name is mentioned because someone had a great experience with me. Here is the link. Everyone is calling Don out. But the forum member who started this post most likely got scared away because of Dons lies. Chime in if you want to add something to this link. I dont think it will help. But if other potential customers happen to stumble across it and are like Tbare who decided to take a chance because of the positive things people wrote about me. And are intelligent enough to see that Don is a lying clown with no motorcycle knowledge then they will order from me.

Hope you understand your clutch switch problem better after reading all that and are able to fix it now
