Hey guys,

Putting some feelers out there and looking for a Austin Racing (preferably undertail) exhaust for my '15 1299s

Thanks!

Chris

Priced high and a 10-20 week lead time. Motomummy is the only Austin Racing importer and gives dealers a verrrrrry small margin on them. Thats why I like selling the Austin Racing slipons or Austin Racing cat deletes because Motomummy gives us a little more wiggle room. The Austing Racing undertail retails for $4119.50. Another choice for the 1299 besides the Vandemon which I still recommend especially because of its price the Termignoni Force full exhaust. But you would have to get the license plate bracket that termi sells. It retails for $3495.00 plus tax. And Im a dealer for Brocks sooooo Termignoni Force Full Racing System Stainless/CuNb 2-1-2 Panigale 1199/1299 (12-18)

The Akra undertail for the 1299 is also expensive. It costs even more than the Austin Racing. I think the Vandemon sounds better than the Austin Racing. Although they have a very similar sound. I am biased probably because I have the Vandemon and sell them more than any other exhaust for Ducatis. I only sold 3 Austin Racing undertail exhausts. And those 3 were to guys who didnt care how much they spent. One of the guys I sold the Vandemon to had the exhaust cans ceracoated black. They looked hot. Here are two links to a Vandemon exhaust and to a Austin Racing exhaust. The guy making the Vandemon video is Dude_Mungus. He has his own instagram and youtube following and he buys all his stuff from us and mentions my partner Damien in his video. He has been getting more and more followers each day. Dude_Mungus is actually very good friends with 650ib who has a HUGE social media following.
1) Vandemon video At the 3:19 min mark you will hear the low and high rpm drives. They sound awsome. All exhaust videos no matter which one it is never sound great when someone is up close making a video as its idling. The best sounds are when the bike is actually moving.
2) Austin Racing video

There arent that many choices for an undertail exhaust for Ducatis. Here are a few other choices for undertail exhausts and the FM projects undertail/side exhaust which looks pretty hot. I just sold an SC Project exhaust that looks like the FM Project exhaust to a guy with a Panigale V4.

1) FM Projects RACING Exhaust for the Ducati Panigale 1199 / 1299
2) ZARD 2-1-2 Full Exhaust for Ducati Panigale 1299/959 - Biposto
3) This one would only be a solo seat ZARD Full 2-1-2 Solo seat Exhaust for Ducati Panigale 1199/1299/959/899

And at the end of the day all of the undertail exhausts would cost more than the Vandemon and still need an extended underbelly pan.

For sure man. Thanks for sharing this. I'm still looking to order the VanDemon if I wasn't able to get an Austin for cheap. I just had the Austin on my crossplane R1 and it insane. I loved it. But 108 dB for VanDemon is still great. I want loud and noticeable but not Toce or straight pipe obnoxious loud haha

I have the low mount Austin Racing on my BMW S1000RR. OMG sound amazing. I now regret getting the full akra system with akra GP can on my BMW S1000R. I should have gotten either the Austin Racing high mount or low mount for my single R. The Akra is so loud and obnoxious. If I had to rate the Akra and SC project in terms of obnoxious I would say the SC Project is #1 and the Akra is #2. Akra makes their headers the same size as stock headers. Thats why you can mount the Akra GP can onto either the Akra headers or mount it onto the stock exhaust as slip on Akrapovič I have this 2017 can and akra headers on my 2015 single R. The difference between this GP can and the older ones for the 2016 and older BMWs is the look and where it mounts. The older akra cans mounted onto the rear sets. This newer can mounts on the passenger pegs. But I didnt want to buy a BMW right passenger bracket and hardware for $300. Instead I bought the Evotech exhaust hang bracket kit with left passenger bracket block off plate and the hardware needed from BMW which was just a this one rubber grommet to fit into this round part on the Evotech, a washer and some nuts and bolts. Cost me $145. That being said, since the GP can could be used with an Akra full header system or mounted on as a slip on. If I really wanted to, I could sell this Akra can and buy an Austin Racing slip on. It would fit the Akra headers
