Hi
Well I picked up my new to me 1299 on Monday and took it for a spin this evening.

When I took a demo bike for a ride, the auto blipper was noticeable. On this bike - nothing.

Any ideas?

It is also a pain to get into neutral when it's cold.

Thanks for your help!

Check the QS settings for the blipper.

The hard to find neutral is usually because of the garbage OEM clutch slave cylinder.

Welcome

Like Rogue said, go into your menu settings and make sure your set at DQS UP/DOWN ON.

As the guys above have said it might just be set to off on the autoblipper. If you happen to be near Richmond, West London and need a second set of eyes on it then feel free to message me here or on ducatiforum.co.uk (I'm royalwithcream on there).

did you get the 1299S? the base doesnt have the blipper

Yes, it does.

"The Ducati Quick Shift up/down (DQS) is a race-derived electronic system that manages shifting of the gearbox in both up and down directions. It allows upshifts to be made under full acceleration without using the clutch, which gains precious fractions of a second that would otherwise be wasted in closing the throttle. It also allows clutchless downshifts, as the system performs a perfectly-timed auto-blip when the foot lever is depressed, engaging the gears smoothly and allowing the rider to concentrate only on braking and corner entry."

Hi Royal
I am in Twickenham so be good to catch up some time when you are around.

The DQS is on in all modes.

Been through the manual and can't find anything else which allows influence over the blipper.

Cheers

just make sure you have zero throttle input, then it should work. If not, I'd suggest it's a broken wire on the shifter

I spoke to the dealer this morning about it while booking it in for its first service. Apparently, it's. It is not unknown for the switch to fail. Not common, but it does happen.
