I'm seeking some advice on which direction to go with a simple plug and play tuner. I don't need anything that I have to go in on the laptop and customize myself as I'm just not familiar with the territory.

I installed a Dean Adams exhaust on my 1299s. 2015 model. In some RPM ranges it seems to bog down now after around 250 miles on the slip on. I toyed with different electronic settings, ultimately cutting it all off and enjoying this the most! It does not seem to bog now with it all cut off. Bike is brutal and difficult to ride but that was what I wanted.

I'd like to use some of these electronic aids when racing so I wanted to check in with you all on what you use and the ease of use. I've been looking at Bren Tuning plug and play set up for 695 USD.

I expect this to be the price for many of the options on the market but I like the ease of use this seems to have.

Any input is much appreciated, Thank you.

I had good success with my rapidbike on my old Monster 1200. However I want cruise control since I'm mostly a spoiled street rider so I may go with tuneboy this time around. both are pretty close in price.

I have the Brentune flash. its legit. I also have the rapidbike evo. If you needed just one, id probably go with the flash. you get a couple different maps, get a module that can reset the service lights, and the fans come on early which is a big help for me when i get trapped in traffic. good luck

Rapid bike works very well and is a plug n play type system, and once setup is forever in autotune.

Tuneboy is a reflash, with cruise control, but is not user friendly and the base tunes are to bad, theres alot of work on the QS settings. You'll also have no support. So best is find an agent/tuner and get them to set it up.

I have both RB and tuneboy cruse control.

Got a bren on my 1299s and love it no dead spots and really smooth. Race filter , custom tune and cored pipes. Dino at 183 rear wheel and 97 ft torque

I also have the Bren Tuning on my 1199 S. I got theblatest version a few week ago and really impressed how smooth the bike is now. Last years sw was good but bike was still a bit jerky in the mid range but that is gone now. Early fan on is nice in sop an go traffic and you reall feel that bike is cooler (close to 10 degree Celsius), quickshifter is much improved and you have the possibility to read and reset codes as well as service light. I am just waiting for their cruise controll to be released and I am fully satisfied!

I got the rapidbike and it made a big difference cruising.
Soon I'll get the bren device when I get motivation to pull the rapidbike off.

I believe I will go for the Bren, anyone know when the Cruise control will come about?

Bren is easy to install and I am sure you will be happy with their tune. A few months ago I asked when their cruise control will be ready they said only they do not have any ETA at the moment. Pleas ask and inform if any news! :) If I renember correct they said (probably in this forum) that the engineer/developer took some time off.

I have the rapid bike on my 1299 and love it. And I have the rapid bike plus my tuning on my BMW S1000R and S1000RR. Love how it works on all 3 bikes. No rapid bike my tuning on the 1299 because rapid bike doesnt make it for vtwins. Just the 4 bangers. Im sure they will make a my tuning for the ducati V4 soon

Thanks for the kind words.

Nice those numbers are pretty good, if you got the AFR with the dyno graph it's possible we can make some more power :) Send me an email [email protected]

i am lucky to have bren tuning 45min away so i am going that route

Nice, love to get locals on the dyno.

Yes, the biggest thing on these bikes is the ridability fixes, tuning it really is night and day over stock mapping.

No ETA as noted the engineer took a leave of absence who was working on it. It's still on the radar but no ETA.

Thanks,

Chris
