Here at The Ridge, 1st session on my Tri, 2nd on the '15 R. Wow...it's been said, but this is what the bike should be. So much quicker to rev.... Akra n upmap...I need new earplugs....

What a bike- I do think some further refinement of the mapping may be in order down the road...slow corners in 2nd, low revs...nothing there (vs my mapped S). Going out know to try 1st in turn 13-

Yep, down to 1st in 13...this bike unquestionably needs to be way up in the revs or it's got nothing-

So quick powering out of corners, crazy...

Thx for the feedback. That's what the R seemed to me in Adeys youtube video recently posted. I can't believe how quick it spins up past 7k. Rpm!!!

Which group were you in? There were a few 1199Rs out there and I was one of them. I was in the 100 (relaxed) group.

I like to be in 2nd for 13. In 1st, the throttle modulation is too tough but I'm in there if I get stuck behind slower riders going into 13. Too dam many of them almost coming to a stop at that turn (well, 20 and under is). I like to be at 30 or so going into 13 and 2nd gear is fine at that speed.

1st was far better/quicker through that complex...on the '15 R. I was in the 300 group.

In 2nd, I'd just roll down the hill with minimal drive/bite leant over in 15..."good" drive out. In 1st I was driving through 13 and down the hill and in the powerband leant over...giving me the ferocious drive out that I wanted. Yea...required fine throttle control...much more aggressive...but ultimately better/faster.

Packed up early today as the rain got serious...oh well. T-hill July 4 weekend-

MMC, how do you like your Pikes Peak MTS? I was thinking of possibly picking one up. What do you use it for?

Well, one reason you're in the 300 and I'm not is that you have a steadier throttle hand. You're probably using race mode and I'm still using sport mode.
