Bad news guys: my bike got impounded :(

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I am in WA Perth and because i did over 40km/h my bike is automatically impounded for 28 days and loss of license also for 28 days.

I will have to also face court where i will have to face the music and pay up to $1000. My bike was registered at another address and the cops got me for giving false address :(

I am getting rimmed real hard i think i will probably elect to do prison time then pay my fines. The only problem is prison is not a safe place dahhhhhh a lot of fine defaulters get assaulted on a regular basis in prison according to news reports a few years ago.

I really can't afford to pay $3000+ so i have no choice but to do prison time - this will raise my insurance premium for sure.

That was almost 20 years ago so i dont really know the system now: hopefully they will let me elect to do community service because i can't afford to pay the fines - let's hope they won't send me to jail because i can't afford to pay.

A few years ago i used to do community services instead of paying fines because too many guys were getting assaulted in prison.

As you know our bikes will break the speed limit in 1st gear :( even the cops that came to take my bike knows this he felt for me because he also rides bikes.

Almost every post I see from this guy sounds like total bullsh*t. Who the **** has TWO Panigales yet can't afford to shell out $5,000?

That or he has the worst financial management in the world..

Or he has his priorities straight!
Wonder where you park your Panigales in the trailer park? O wait, probably parks the Panigales IN the trailer and he and his wife sleeps outside.... Or in prison. [emoji3]

Word I got back from my WA police contact is that they do have a squad that goes and impounds vehicles if detected over 45 kph even with speed cameras.

Alpha I would pay the fine rather than go to gaol.

fleece johnson: importance of booty. this is only thing i got out of this entire thread.

That guy became something of a cult hero. They even animated him in an episode of The Boondocks. He was finally up for parole last year, but I'm not sure what happened.

He's probably out there now.....looking for bootay.

Sorry to hear that buddy.
I had mine impounded twice in 3 days last year.
Still paying for my attorney on that one

Yeah i got nabbed by one of the squads that came out to impound my bike because i accidentally did 45 over the limit trying to merge with traffic :(

It's such a shame i am not even a hoon and i had my bike impounded :(

So let me get this right..... You have recently bought yourself a 1299s....bought your wife a 1299....yet will go to prison rather than sell one and pay a fine?

I would sell one pay the fine an then re assess your finances when you get your licence back

I was told the court will probably give me a choice of doing community service if i elect to do so instead of paying the fines. They understand some people can't afford to pay fines and i am one of those who refuses to pay fines for trying to merge with traffic.

I am not a hoon and i shouldn't be treated like one sadly i will have to pay the minimum 6 months loss of license and --> ($1000 to get the bike back and if unlucky i could pay up to $6000 in court fines and fees).

A little concerned about Alpha Male. He has not chimed into this thread again.

Is he in gaol already ?

Thanks for your concern i was just suffering from depression and withdrawal from society :(
