Hey guys need your expertise. I recently installed a woodcraft rearsets on my bike. I would very much like to keep the rear brake functionalitu when I step on the foot brake. I bought the banjo I need to make this happen. Can you guys verify if this is the wire I’m supposed to splice?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Yes that looks like the brake light switch for the rear brake. You might be able to find the exact same OEM connector plug as the original brake light switch. then crimp it on the end of the banjo switch. That would allow you to just unplug the OEM connector and plug in the new switch with no cutting of any wires. It is also a much cleaner look. There are several companies out there who carry the various connectors used on just about every bike.

first thanks for your help! I haven't done anything about it yet because im not the best at splicing wires let alone doing this. I bought the Banjo bolt Woodcraft offers, are you able to point me to the right direction where I wouldn't need to splice wires. Thanks again for the help!

Motorcycle Connectors These guys have a lot of the electrical connectors commonly used on bikes. I search for the connector I need then buy it. When it comes in I crimp on the proper terminals then plug them into the proper housing that matches the OEM plug. Then I can just plug it into the Ducati harness. Now it is definitely the cleanest way to go but does necessitate the crimping tool so as to get the proper terminal crimp.

Now sometimes I have bought the wrong connector so it can be a hunt sometimes. As far as the crimp tool goes I have the cheap one. I think I bought one for like $27.00

You will have to follow the brake switch wire up to the point it plugs into the wiring harness to determine what type of connector it is.

Connector is a 2 way AMP Tyco connector, easy to fit and source online. Here is one I made up myself for my Panigale V4S.
