Got one from RC, 40$, expected nothing, 5k km, 6 trackdays and still ok, slightly discoloured but still better looking than stock.

Had trouble keeping the bolts in place, ended up getting SS bolts which you can really tighten and problem solved.

Someone needs to try one of these:

I have the upgraded heatshield that is two layers. First layer is the metal part, similar to the stock unit. There is some sort of aluminum shielding tape in between the metal shield and the big plastic upgraded heat shield....it works.

Heat has drastically been eliminated...though you can still feel some heat but not enough to give you burns anymore...

I have/had the Ilmberger shield installed.
Its ok, but after changing to the New OEM shield,
i wouldn't go back....trust me.

The Ilmberger shield is "ok", but not nearly as good
as the recall heat shield.

Bestem contacted me and is sending me an updated unit, we'll find out if it actually works

I did:), tested this heat guard for MS-Production who makes them. Works but a little high on the price and it's carbon/ceramic so it will never look the same as any other carbon part that you have on your bike.

It's not really needed any longer as the updated version that Ducati provides does the job well.
