Bike wallows ?

Hey guys, I'm still getting used to a Tricolore I purchased used with 4500 miles.
I'm noticing the bike 'wallows' a little as in 'falling' into turns- do you guys think this might be due to slightly worn Pirelli tires (they look in great shape)?
The bike has not been in any accidents and I'm thinking this might be due to the tires- what do you guys think?

I'm used to riding on Dunlop Q3+ tires and those are very neutral.

I would just normally just install a new set onto this 1199S but I'm trying to sell it as I cannot lower it due to the fork design the Ohlin's uses (the base model can be lowered.)

I'm just inquiring in case you guys think this is the reason.....I can then install a set if the bike doesn't sell soon.

I'd say it's the tire profile for sure. New tires will allow you to drop into corners more aggressively, while usually the worn out once don't give you as much response. After I wear out my front from a few track day weekends and races and then put on a freshie, it's always a world of difference

Not sure if you are talking track or street, though if you are used to Dunlops the Pirelli will seem like that. The construction of the tires is different and if you can get your hands on a set off the rim, you'll see just how much you can manipulate more so than the Dunlop. I used to say that they "squirm" when I first started running them from the Dunlops. Though with some time and adjustment, I really like them! But I am talking slicks and racing.

Without knowing everything in the equation (track/street/tire warmers/cold tires/kind of tires, etc.), I would suggest a tire pressure adjustment. Maybe plus up a little to stiffen the sidewall a little on turn-in, but again, have no idea where you are at now. Just a suggestion...

The Pirelli has softer sidewalls than the Dunlops. When a friend of mine switched from the Q3 to SuperCorsas she kept thinking the tire was sliding out from under her.
For the street try 33-34 front and 36 rear cold pressures.
Track 33-34 front 25-26 rear hot.

Had the same issue, steering damper was blown. Replaced it and all good now.
