Bit of time off from work. Only 5 days but devoted one yesterday to doing a few small jobs on the 1199. Had a bunch of Proti Ti bolts to fit which involved removing the rear sets and also a clutch bleed.

Now if I could only get past the fact that I have to clean any dirt or grime I see every time I pull the bike apart, I could get the job done much quicker.

Hours later with 14 new Ti bolts and a much cleaner bike, I finished. And bonus, another 60 grams saved. Checked my maintenance records and its coming up for an oil change too. Never ending fun. :)

Mannn, I'm about $1200 deep into nuts and bolts. This .... is never ending. I almost wish I never started in the first place but damn they look good.

Ugh killing me not posting pics brad.. PICS dude PICS.. I love the fact that you, Gecko and few others go Ti crazy. it keeps me from having to do it..

The last photo for the mars bar is the Caliper Spacers that go between the caliper and forks legs..

And my god those are gorgeous.. May I dare ask for a link of where to get all of the above..

Mars bar on the way Mike, well done, was an easy question. Next time have I need to make it harder, I mean a whole Mars Bar. :)

Send me a PM re the bits. Those first pics dated this year are all just Proti out of Taiwan. Pretty expensive though but they do come nicely packaged with a tie pin in each box ( LOL ). If you are talking about the rear 520 setup, I can talk you through that on a PM. When I did that conversion I put lots of pics up with all the weights etc and suppliers. I just added that one because it was in my dropbox public and it is pretty. Since that photo I got the spring clips anodised in gold.

I have also re discovered Autosol polish. Have been done wonders with it on the SSD and will also use it to start going over the 1199 and pretty up dull bolts. Does not work on everything though. I tried using it on the foot peg mounts and it did nothing. Unless black stuff comes off the material it is not working.

Here is a quick shot of what some Autosol can do
