Well, since I started cycling, I've found little opportunity to ride my bikes, And incredibly I just recently sold my mts to a good friend who loves it.

I'll probably pick up another one down the road perhaps depending on what they do to it in upgrading in 15 or 16.

But in addition to bicycles, I picked up a sporty little car to tool around in. An 07 Aston Martin Vantage V8, it's a spectacular car and nicest car I've ever owned. Took advantage of the massive depreciation these cars suffer and got a lot of car for the $$. In addition I bought from an AM dealer (in Long Island who shipped the car to me) and it is certified pre-owned and has a full 1 year AM factory warranty.

I do plan to stay around here as lots of friends here for me!

Oh wow.... I think I might give up my bike for that.... Congrats!!!

Congrats! But don't be ashamed to come back into the fold after you get the itch back in a year or less. That happened to me when I got out of bikes and into cars. Always good to have options!

edit: I also want to say that in a few years Ducati will probably make something so crazy-awesome that you can't resist. Listen to that urge. I told people the same thing back in 2008 when I got out of bikes. It's in my blood and I knew I'd come back one day, even if it were a long time away. Was just a matter of time.

As a moderator, that car is so totally suitable, who gives a toss if you are bike less ATM!!!! One sexy car!!!!

Nice choice Chris :)

....and tell us about your road bikes!

I've cycled 12000kms these last 2-years and only rode 2500kms :roll eyes:

Sweeeeet!

Chris Bond? :D congrats on the nice ride

Thanks guys! I've no doubt I'll get the next generation ducati multi, just too good a bike not to.

xbox - cycling, my main bikes is a specialized s-works roubaix di2 dura ace electric shift, and back up is a cervelo r5 with conventional dura ace, zipp wheels. The s-works is around 14.5 pounds and the r5 around 15 and alittle bit.

Averaged over the winter around 100+ miles a week. And now I'm averaging 150 or so. Really love it and in the best shape of my life.

pic of the s-works, don't seem to have any of the cervelo

Nice! I'm a "reformed" auto enthusiast having had 23 cars and not just stick to bikes. My wife's drives a 911, but I'm probably going to get her the GT3 later this summer.

Oh yea - no bikes now either as they are in the shop!

Chris - fine stable and both would pass my "can I lift it inverted above my head from the seat post with 1-hand" test :)

Love the S-Works and what to say about Di2, other than its amazing.

I had a Bianchi Sempre Di2 this last few years, which was a real nice ride. A little heavier than your Spesh, but then it was pretty mid-range in Bianchi, so the running gear was lower spec.

Also, just got a Bianchi Ethanol 27.1 (27.5" carbon hard tail, Di2 ready), for some single track work around the mountains where I live. Really great fun and coupled with running, means a break from soooo much road work.

FYI, I hear that Shimano are going wireless for road Di2 next year and also introducing Di2 for MTB.

Spot on, di2 is absolutely incredible, easy to calibrate the derailleurs, no cables to replace (except brakes) I love it.

I hadn't heard about the wireless di2. I'm planning on getting the limited edtions Specialized/Mclaren F1 racing - Tarmac to debut at the tour de france next month.

I love the bianchi bikes, the colnagos and pinarellos too!

Spesh+Mac .... wow:eek::eek::eek:

IMO, Pina's are beautiful, but ridiculously expensive. Colnago are nice, but not stand out. Bianchi are very innovative from a technology perspective and make some super light weight frames. The Infinito CV (vibration cancelling, rather than absorbing) is an amazing ride!!!

Lot of road cycle fans here, eh?

I'm kicking it old school these days with my pimped-out retro ride:

I have an old cannondale r500 under some dust here
