I have a spongy rear brake, despite spending some time trying to bleed the system both by pumping with the pedal and by using a vacuum bleeder at the caliper nipple.
There are some threads that suggest removing the rear caliper and holding it above the rear master cylinder or using the old trick of hanging a weight on the rear brake pedal overnight. However to me it looks like the highest point in the system, and hence where the air will collect, is the ABS control unit. On an ABS equipped bike has anyone found a second bleed nipple for the rear brake besides the one on the caliper?
