I was at the dealer this afternoon.....thinking I need to spend a few of those Benjamin Franklins I earned in the East, now after returning home.
So sat on the HP 4 race..... ... it's ZAR 1345 000.00 this is about 100 thousand Dollars!,,,
Wtf makes it cost so much money?
Needless to say I will have to do another 6 month tour

Full badass built factory race bike with lots of CF. It’s like the BMW version of the 1299 Superleggera. Check the specs and you’ll see.

I went to google the thing, so it has similar HP to the Ducati 215?

No lights and road gear .....look it's obviously a serious machine for the enthusiast make no mistake.
I was just blown having little exposure to the market place and not much interest, dare I say I think the Ducati is still more pretty.

What I read is it gets real hot and no rad fan either in SA they say there are 4 units.

It's a lot of cash in this country and I think whoever buys it will keep it as a collector piece I doubt it will see the track

A link to the video would be most helpful

A normal HP4 rider, does more trackdays then you can count and is faster then most.

Great bike, not street legal. Not sure if you track. Take maintenance in consideration before buying...if you are willing to put up with it and $$$

I disagree. I believe those who buy it will mainly be people with enough money to not worry about potentially crashing it etc and just enjoy it for what it is. Which is one of the best track bikes you can buy.

Yes totally agree, beautiful piece of tech.

As much as I love, admire, and respect the 1199/1299 SL, I feel like Ducati has been trumped by this track only weapon from BMW.
I think it's time for Ducati to turn their backs on the cafe racer poseurs who buy a bike like an SL to ride down to Starbux, and produce a serious, track only weapon of their own and see if they can match what BMW has put out
