Hahaha i get that all the time it is Indonesia not India :D

yes there are a lot of Ducati's here they run Ducati ride days at Sentul circuit every 6-8 weeks they have a big club house with its own starbucks coffie shop inside , the have social rides most weekend .

what people not realize is how much money is here and they like the best so not many standard bikes or base model bikes are here it is all S , SP , Carbon etc etc iv seen 3 Desmo's here and they cost 160,000 usd , the new 1199 standard is 38,000 USD and 55,000 for the triclor , the first 2 shipments of 1199 are already sold out .

i guess im lucky as my loadlord's husband is one of the Ducati Indonesia owners and their main shop is less than 1 km from my house :cool:

i was riding with their team rider that does the supersport national championship last monday he is 19 and weigh 50kg how the hell do you keep up with that :-}}

I've always wanted to go to Indonesia to scuba dive. I've studied it a bit and see that diving there is world class.
Now I have another reason to go... :eek:

How are you settling in to the 848 Shane :)

its not what i thought it would be , be its still fun to ride on the track , i am heavy so suspension not to bad it will need a rear shock for sure as by the end of the session it would heat up and get a bit pogoy then i guess the forks will need kitting with new internals , i have dropped the forks through the triples to quicken up the steering but about to order a rear ride height adjuster as its still to slow on turn in , some 28mm offset clamps would convert the thing as the front doesnt give you a lot of feed back it needs some more weight over it i think .
on track the lack of torque not really an issue as its revving so high all the time , i pick up my 520 chain and sprocket kit on sat so i am going with 14 - 41 running 14 -39 at present so i think that will help even more .
also my Suter slipper is here to pick up so ill fit that before the next ride , i notice how much i miss my quick shifter , i run the Bazzaz on the RC8R so i think ill go with it again on the 848 but wont worry about the traction control unit as it doesnt have any power anyway .
overall its a fun little bike nice stiff cassis and does everything well it just doesnt do it great but i guess they make these for people to ride on the road so having it more track bias may send normal customers away .

flynbulldog the diving and fishing here is awesome so is the boating an Jet Skiing we are out on the islands most weekends on the Ski's

here this is what we do most sundays

That's a sweet deal Shanes. Life is quite fun out there, was around there for a couple of months this year and loved it. Thanks for the post, it made my day (given it's in the 30's and windy in NYC). Cheers.

Great pics both on road and in the water. I dream of living near the water again. I used to have Kawaski JS550 Stand Up. Loved it but could never get that kind of air.

Where does everyone get all that money in Indonesia? :)

Chris
