What to upgrade the brake master cilinder pump

to improve bracking on track

what do you track masters recomend?

I had my buddy get the Brembo 17rcs corsa corta, and he said it was a dramatic improvement, prob best bang for your buck. I am running the billet gp evo 17x18 but its $$$.

Without really getting into the weeds the RCS 17 was for use with the 1299 calipers. I believe the V4 has different calipers so the RCS 19 is the proper size for them. And the RCS 16 is for the clutch.

thanks for clearing that out

Ok

so 17 RCS CORSA CORTA

Is the correct BREMBO option for the PANI V4?

So to clarify, I have the 16 Panigale R that takes the RCS17. I thought the calipers on the V4 were different and took the RCS19. I could be wrong on the V4. I would defer to Brad at Motion SBK who is a Brembo dealer and would know for sure.

RCS 17 for the M50 calipers (1x99 series) and RCS 19 for the Stylema's (V4).

I have several regular RCS's, Corsa Corta's, and billet options (all the way up to the XA MotoGP series) in stock and ready to ship if you're interested.

get rid of the abs run the lines directly and then add a racing MC, a real one that doesn't allow a brake light switch. Job done.

.

Check out this link. It says there that the Stylema calipers have 30 mm diameter pistons, so the same size pistons as the M50s.

Different riders prefer different feel from their brakes, but the recommended piston diameter for the master cylinder is generally 17 mm for calipers with 30 mm pistons. However mechanical leverage also matters, so master cylinders from different manufacturers with same size piston may have different feel depending on the distance from the lever pivot to the piston. Many of you probably know this already, but I'll reiterate for those who don't. The Brembo 17 RCS CC, well actually all RCS masters, has adjustable pivot settings. It allows the user to change the distance from the lever pivot to the piston. This will affect the force and distance required to push a certain amount of fluid. A lower setting will require less force but in turn longer travel, and vice versa.

The RCS 17 pivot distance can be adjusted between 18 and 20 mm and, as far as I know, is a good fit for M50s and Stylemas. However a master with a larger piston can have similar feel if the pivot to piston distance is shorter, for instance a 19 mm piston with 16 mm pivot to piston.

I won't tell you what you should use, but I suggest that you do some research and think about what kind of feel you prefer before you make a decision.

The MC Is for a V4S 2019

so i guess i am looking for the 19 RCS REGULAR or CORSA CORTA

what is the diference between the 2?

and do you have special pricing for this Forum noob?

Trying to catch up to keith, next year at COTA,

thnk he was running 2.27 last year, and i was on 2.36.

not going to be an easy task

Another question

i dont need to buy the recervoir? Do I

the stock one is the same isnt it?

I had understood RCS 17 for both my 1199 and V4R but happy to hear other views. Actually bought a RCS19 corsa corta and read into to it more before ordering a corsa corta 17 for the 1199 and putting the 19 on another bike.

One thing I will say is that clearance is a big issue. You will need an aftermarket ignition switch and a creative bracket (potentially off the damper) - if clearance is the same on the V4 series as 1199. Please post a pic when you do it and parts list - expect some trial and error trying to mount with angles and clearance - given how good the difference is I am likely to also do on the V4R.

The difference from stock on both the 17 corsa corta and 19 corsa corta is night and day.
