I'm 100% tracking my 2020 V4S. My OEM Brembos have almost worn out. Replacement OEM Brembos are $270+. Figured I'd go with Vesrah RJL XX. What are you all using to replace the OEM brake pads?

I used SRJL-XX pads and I did like them a lot.
I do not like initial hard bite which these pads DON'T have! These pads also allow you good modulation while trail braking, also braking was smooth and progresive.

I would recommend Ferrodo brake pads if you liked the Brembo brake pads. The same company that makes Brembo their brake pads makes them for Ferrodo but they cost less. Ive sold a many Ferrodo brake pads to guys who liked the way their Brembos worked but didnt want to spend the money on the Brembo pads because of their name.

This. I threw the Veshras in my V4 and they have a much better progressive feel on intial braking. The OEM Z04s bite hard and have monster power, but I felt like they were very on/off and didn't inspire much confidence with deep trail braking.

My brake pads arrived yesterday. Shout out to Kurvy Girl for superfast shipping. Can't wait to try these babies.

I just ordered brembo z04, hopefully i get to see how well these matte well into new calipers.

(like them in S1KRR)

Also have veshra XX

like other say

initial is very mild

but after that they grip really well and help to modulate

at first on street i thought it didnt brake, but it is just the initial bite, which ends up being a great thing

I used the zz pads last year and they were good but switched to the xx pads for this year when I went to iron rotors and a billet set-up so I can't compare the two.

in my experience.. all track.. for street, this info isnt relevant.. have oem rotors and iron..
oem brembo pads supplied are good for average trackday rider ., but go fast and after 1 session these pads are so warped, i can barely turn the front wheel.. (i did not try the full race brembo pad)
ferodo i tried but also warp and felt very wooden, soft bite, really different feel . had to pull hard on lever.. had to bed in, which i hated.. (disclaimer, i didnt try all ferodo types, nor any other brand)
ebc pads i tried the recommended replacement, (forget the name) warped like bananas .. same as the above but pad bite felt good..
the ebc EFPA, much much better than the above, but started warping when wearing thin a bit.. still a very good pad until you are really steaming.. ill use these np if im out of gpfax..
the ebc GPFAX is good .,, all i use now .. .. both the efpa and gpfax, no bed in, you can install and roast immediately..
wish i wouldve known the above sooner.. hope this helps .. last year about 24 sets of pads.. front.. rear 0..

I can second the EBC GPFAX for track use, excellent pad and good value for money. Although, I've started using the Brembo Z04 on my V4R and they feel amazing.
But, I haven't compared the pads on the same bike. I use the GPFAX on my race BMW.
I did compare the Z01 Brembo to the GPFAX, and found the GPFAX marginally better, but a lot cheaper.
The Ducati brakes a lot better than the BMW, I think the pad is the majority of the reason....

My buddy has a v4r as well and switched to the XX pads and brake tech iron rotors, he also switched to the RCS17 corsa corta and said the MC was deff worth it. His set up is prob best bang for the buck with massive improvement in braking. Also consider the brake tech caliper pistons and endless brake fluid to eliminate any fade, I have a remote adjuster but since switching to those pistons, the brake lever never needs adjusting.

I use my V4 only on the track and love the EBC GPFAX, much stronger then stock and never fade.
