September 1st, 2019 -- Forget the chiropractor, I landed on my face at 100 MPH, the impact caused my spine to fracture part of my skull where they join and I had ligament damage on C5 and C6. Neck brace for three months followed by another three of physical therapy. Last month was my first day back on track after rebuilding the bike. Neck is still not 100%, but getting there. Just track days this year; no racing.
I don't want to hijack this thread -- my only objective was to promote these helmets -- they work -- and I LOVE this paint scheme.

What helmet did you get to replace that one? I went down at 50mph on my harley 2 years ago and that was the time I wore a full face that day. It was an arai defiant. The shape look good for harleys. Now I use the arai XD4 with my harley and a bunch of arai corsair x's, one corsair v and one agv pista gpr. I collect the isle of man helmets and the nicky hayden helmets

I had a second helmet, same but a little older and different paint. I’ll replace with another, the exact color (one of these) next winter. I highly recommend them for track and sport riding.

I'm glad you were wearing a good, full face helmet. The Arai Defiant is a top-notch helmet -- a little better sound insulation than the Corsair, but I think the ventilation may be a little less. Probably a better everyday road helmet if the shape fits your head.
