After changing my front brakes to brembo rcs my brake gets softer after riding a session at the track. I have to pump the brake 1x to get the lever to normal feel also the brake tension/feel changes while riding. I bled the caliper and the master cylinder 2x already and ziptied the lever over night and still get the same result. Anyone had the same issue before?

Reverse bleed with the engine on and the brakes actuated on/off. Some air trapped in the abs probably. Once done right, the lever stays hard.

I deleted the ABS, and now my lever feels great with the RCS 17. With the ABS in, the lever throw was softer and a little longer, but the brakes did still work just fine, just not the trigger feeling you’d expect to get from the RCS 17.

Good to hear that. What procedure did you employ for the ABS delete?

I left the ABS pump plugged in and then bought a Frentubo brake line kit that comes with rubber plugs for the ABS pump and direct brake lines from Master cylinder to calipers.

That sounds cool. Do you find any skidding or a tendency to lose the front end without the ABS? Especially since we've all been accustomed to it since the past few years on the new gen bikes?

Not in the dry, I don’t miss the ABS at all. I’ve skidded in the front in the rain with race rain tires. Those few times, I wish I still had the ABS in but I think that’s more for me to just learn the limit of the race rain tires.

And has the dry braking distance improved noticeably?
