Just was trying to understand how the RB works? Does it just lie to the ECU about what it sees on o2 sensors to get it to change fueling? Does the RB require a dyno tune to get started or does it just work?

Pros Cons with them both?

I trying to decide between it and Brentune?

I had the rapidbike for a few years. Had to run wires through the bike to ty in with sensors. It made a decent improvement on how the drive drove. Smoother. But every once in awhile would stall taking off from a light. Couldn't cruise under 4k rpm.

Took that off and did the Bren tuner. Then Bren tuner made the bike much better. Very smooth throttle at any speed. Very easy to take off from a stop light. Can cruise at 3k rpm easy. Throttle response/control in the twisties is just better. And it also lowered fan turn on temp.Bike runs much cooler in traffic.

Cruise at 3K RPM comfortably and when u twist the throttle open and the bike takes off hard... with BrennTuning of course

I wonder how much more low end grunt you’ll get on your tuned 1299 vs your past race bikes, Hawk

Use the promo code “DUCFORUM”

You will need a windows based computer for reading and writing to the handheld as well as emailing files with the BrennTuning team.

Before youhave the dealer update to the latest software before u read your ECU for the files to send to them.

Once it’s installed you’re going to want to notify your dealer every time u take it in for service so they don’t Duc it up w their fancy computers

You can flash it back to stock b4 u take it but I was warned that there’s a flash counter in the ECU

Read this first:

The handheld they sent me doesn’t have the BrennTuning sticker on it

This handheld unit can clear CEL too

Thanks ok. I think bike was probably updated when it was in for service with PO? Does it have to be on latest firmware to work?

I have an upmap key but was going to just do the Bren so it wasn't stuck at dealer. My dealer is like 4 hour trip. Part of what sold me on Bren was not having to take it all the way in.

It’s so annoying when the dealer is far away. My dealer is over an hour away so I have them pick it up and drop it off. Mines been at the service department since Friday “getting fixed”

My dealer had it connected to their computer system on sept 12 and said everything is up to date. Also checked for recalls and renewed fluids and installed accessories

I Read my ECU on December 3rd and emailed files over to them. And told them my bike was updated on Sept 12.

All was good, they sent files Dec 4 and I flashed it that day

how is ur new bike?

I can call the place that last worked on it to see if they updated the computer when it was in a few months ago. Bikes a 2015.
