Hi all anyone bought or knows anything about sato racings suspension link rod drops seat height by 20mm it's adjustable so I guess can be tweaked some where between minus 20 mm and stock this looks like a brilliant mod to me ! Any input or thoughts please !!

Thanks for that
Plus any one knows how to adjust fork preload and shock preload a ns what is std setting for each on s model ?

Preload

Thanks for that ! It seems strange to me am i being stupid but why couldn't i just adjust the original linkage to achieve the same ride height ? And on the subject of preload I have the s model with the electronic ohlins but I am assuming front and rear preload is adjusted mechanically the conventional way ? THANKS Southey

I have the SATO suspension link on my bike. It is a very useful piece of kit as other than lowering the height by up to 20mm it also allows you to easily and quickly adjust the suspension link (unlike the stock one).

It is a quality piece of kit.

Word of caution, you only really want to have the suspension link if your overall suspension is set to F rather than P.

CaliDuc, I'm sure you've discussed this ad nauseum, but how do you maintain the geometry if you lower the rear so much? Also, lowering the ride height will affect the steering characteristics of the bike and the swingarm angle as well, did you find a happy balance?

I'm 6'0" and I don't have a problem with the bike's height, and I like how flickable the bike is although I still haven't been to the track yet. Did you do this to improve the handling substantially over the OEM setup?

Thank you.

This mod allows you to keep geometry in check when you change tire brands. Slick manufacturers all have slightly different circumferences, and with this you can adjust your geometry back to where you like it.

OK, thanks guys. I misunderstood and thought you had lowered the suspension by 20mm. I understand now the Sato link is quicker to adjust than the OEM and that makes a big difference when you are at the track dialing things in or wanting to try quick changes between sessions.
