Hello friends,
Thanks for the forum, Brasilia, Capital of Brazil, I have a 1299 and a 959 and before 1299 had a 1200s, I'm loving a bike but unfortunately this last month when traveling a 780km I had 2 degree burns, that's right, ugly wound and today, that 1 month later I still heal from this wound.
Has anyone here gone through something similar? If so, does Ducati position itself in any way?
Excuse me for introducing yourself this way, but you can give me the thanks.

Several options : subframe covers, exhaust heat wrap, race exhaust for better flow, etc

Wear good protective riding gear. My Klim pants protect me very well even in stand-still traffic. I've done several 3 hour rides with no problems whatsoever.

good luck healing. Be well.

First ride on my old 959 produced a quarter sized blister on my right thigh, know the feeling.

#1 thing that resolved it for me is riding position. Get further back in the seat and only
hug the tank with your legs under braking, if you keep them locked the rear cylinder is basically between your knees, muy caliente!

Going slow (<60mph) and grabbing with your knees full time is gonna mess you up. Get used to moving around for corners, it’ll keep the airflow moving.

If you’re just cruising to a coffee shop meet then there is a price to pay for riding a superbike outside it’s intent.
