Anyone have full exhaust and have any issues with Burned lower faring on the right side lower? I noticed today that there is a spot where this is starting to burn through.

Any thoughts? Thanks guys!:)

Had a burned lower fairing as well from one of the attaching springs to the exhaust. Take it to your dealer and they will order you a new fairing and put some type of spacer and some shielding in it to keep it from happening again.

What to take care for after installing a full system ?
So i can instruct my dealer to check those crucial points.

I dont even have a full system and mine burned. They'll get you a new fairing if it is burned and put a spacer and heat shielding in it to prevent it from happening again. Least thats what my dealer told me

This is not the first I've heard of this.

I'm getting my first service and the manifold kit installed on the 27th. I'm going to say something about this to them when I take it in.

My dealer's mechanic was fully aware of this problem and advised me to keep an eye on it after he installed the full exhaust system on my bike. He noted that there is very little tolerance for the spacing between the fairing and exhaust being off, and that if the fairing does begin to melt, that Ducati is replacing fairings when this happens.

Hey Styler,

That is good news. Any info on how long with the issue of lead times at the factory?

Thanks

Like I said, my dealer said they would replace it under warranty and put heat shielding and a spacer on to keep it from happening again. I would assume they would do the same for all of you.

Sorry; no info. My dealer has only received the one bike (mine) and so they have not had to deal with this directly (neither have I, thankfully); but is is apparently part of the market intelligence the mechanics are receiving from somewhere.
