Buying 2016 1299S?

Hello! I already have a 2014 Monster 1200S that I LOVE. Best bike I've ever owned. I know a guy who has way too many toys, he has a 2016 1299S he's wanting to get rid of, he only has put on 700 miles, he's never had it near a track the things still got knobbies on the tires. He's had the first service done, and he's put around $5k into extras, exhaust and random carbon tidbits.

He's willing to let it go for $16k, but I'm going to tell him 15k cash, he owes 14k on it. If I could pick this up for 15k how good of a deal would this bike be? It's kind of my dream bike, nowhere near as practical as my Monster, but it's still an incredible bike.

sounds like a pretty good deal to me. even at 16.
 
Hell I purchased a 16' 1299s with 3K miles for $17,500 also with upgraded parts (No exhaust) and that was a hell of a deal, so if you can get a NEW like bike with only 700 miles for THAT price!!!!... I will BE HATING on you!!!!!!!!!!!... keep us posted...
 
If you lose this deal trying to haggle the guy down you're going to be pissed you didn't step up for 16k.
 
I have a 15 1200S which i love as well. Just bought a 959 Corse as a second bike as i couldn't find a good deal on a 1299S. If you don't want that 1299S let me know, i will but it lol.
 
.... I just bought my '16 1299S with 3K miles but alot of goodies (exhaust and bling) for 21k...
