I've heard the name on here a few times so decided to give them a shot. Ordered a set of carbon brake and clutch reservoir brackets via Ebay, just a small item to test them out and get a look at quality and finish etc.

I have to say these are really poor. I suppose you could argue that these are intricate parts, but really, I'm sure that given the equipment, I could produce better. These really do look home made. Rough edges, uneven dimensions, uneven/pitted clear coat, uneven/uncentered holes on and around the product. One particular part that causes me concern is, if I were to install it, upon torquing down, due to the uneven surface which should really be flat, then damage could easily occur to the part :mad:

I would attach some pictures....... but, well, you know the score with that one :rolleyes:

Anybody have better luck with these guys on larger items etc?

Them resorvoir brackets all come from the same place even the CDT Full Six ones are same quality. Most of Alex's stuff comes from same factory as DP. I have had few different large parts from him and the quality/ fit was awesome.

Should have bought Mick's ! He's parts ROCK ! I have Mick's CF brackets, they look fantastic.




























is that good enough hype for a discount on a 1299FE tail tidy ? :D:D:D
 
I have almost all DP carbon parts (except front sprocket cover and heel guards which is Fullsix) on my bike + a few CDT Fullsix parts (i.e. chain guard, rear brake line cover and heel guards) and a few Carbon Fibre Fever (i.e. tail vents and rear brake pot holder).

I can clearly see differences between CDT Fullsix and Carbon Fibre Fever. My CDT Fullsix parts are almost perfectly manufactured, perfect fit and really nice looking at (also backside before installation). CDT Fullsix finish/colour is however a bit darker (more mat) than DP or CFF and is not a perfect colour match to DP when dry (just wipe them with vinyl wipes and they look the same for a while). CFF have a more matching finish/colour to DP carbon but they seems not to be as well manufactured as DP or CDT Fullsix. They are definitely ok when installed on the bike but looking at these parts in your hands CDT Fullsix seems more well done.
 
I have some bits from CarbonFibreFever and overall am pretty pleased. However, the carbon cylinder head heat guards will slightly yellow from the heat and I've noticed very, very slight yellowing of the carbon passenger seat cover as well.

I feel FullSix is slightly better in quality, for example I'm replacing my CarbonFibreFever carbon front reservoir brackets with the FullSix ones and without having attempted the install so far have found the FullSix part to be thicker and slightly better constructed.

Overall, CarbonFibreFever is a pretty good price point for the quality you receive.
