I have question. Made decision to buy Carbonvini carbon fiber fuel tank for my 1199s.do you guys think it’s good idea to use epoxy on inside to prevent damage do the ethanol?

You know it man yeah just take a small flash light look inside the cap side and pump side the coating typically is all over everything even the plumbing.

Good choice you won't have any problems with that setup. Most the aftermarket or oem type gas caps don't vent well with the carbon tanks recommend getting a Lightec they work.

Won't work most them caps like the DP use the seal parts from the oem cap and way Full Six does the ventilation stuff it doesn't work. So far the only one I have seen that vents correctly is the Lightec or the cheap SSR cap.

I got DP quick release cap what you think?going to work?

Per Carbonvani:

"Tanks are coated with Caswell Coating's "RED DRAGONS BLOOD" sealant, but due to the High amounts of Ethanol in the Fuel in the US, These tanks have no warranty as the Ethanol has proven to be quite destructive in some cases if the bike sits for too long, so it is up to the customer to use Ethanol free fuel as much as possible or just ride the bike and not let it sit for too long (which is better for your bike anyway)."

Speaking of ethanol free gas, has anyone done enough research/comparison to notice a difference? In TX we have 93 octane E10 everywhere, but I also have a 92 octane E0 pump somewhat close to me. I am considering keeping cans from that pump in the garage to avoid Ethanol when my bike arrives.

keeping cans from that pump in the garage
Fueling at home is supreme but you’ll want premium gas cans like SaftyCan and you might want an electric pump
