I can tell you on the Porsche the ceramic brakes which includes rotors for a 75% reduction on rotating mass makes a huge difference but$$$$$$$$$$

I totally agree,i had a drive of a friends 911 Turbo with ceramic discs and the performance/power/feel was mind expanding. I"ve been in the auto trade for 30 years and this was the first time I got excited about a cars brakes.:D We can only imagine what the Moto GP guys experience with carbon brakes.::cool: I"ve read some tests on ceramic matrix brake discs and they are at least as good as the finest steel discs,maybe a bit better. On the flip side regarding weight there is no comparison half the weight of steel is the norm,so big advantage there.
 
I am thinking if you went this route with CF wheels, Ti hub, the rotating weight reduction would be insane. All for less then $7k! (gulp) Add a couple of lightweight Dunlops...

So first Ceramic Matrix Composite, and now these are Double Matrix Composite?? Similar materilar, I guess, just the Double has holes?? Here again are the CMC, $200 more:
