Change base light to led

Somebody know if you could change the light unit from a base to the led (full unit) and is there a problem with the cables or just plug and play???

I asked about this when buying my Base (because the LEDs were really the only thing I badly wanted from the S) and I was told:

"So expensive, you might as well buy the S"
