hope for his sake there is better top end power and straight line speed than the 1098R.

top end speed

if they do away with the stupid rule of "v"twins having to carry a 6kg weight penalty i don't see why the Panigale should't have the top end speed

Checa has the hump because of the weight penalty and both him and Ducati are threatening to pull out unless the rules are looked at!

Oh and if it's a 'V' Twin rule the Ducati shouldn't be affected because they are 'L' twins (Ha!)

Not just that, but also the 50mm air restrictor that it's burdened with kills some top-end power. That was all part of the "negotiated" rules in 2008 when they were allowed to bump the twin up 200cc over the size of the I4's.

I dont think top end power or any power has ever been a problem, from what I have heard getting it to the ground was.
Now the last report I heard was that, that had come ahead in leaps and bounds and now it is ready for some serious testing:D

Let's be honest, Ducati is going to complain until they are easily winning every race by 5 seconds. Doesn't make for good racing though.
