I just bought a V2 and can't seem to find a good website to find clear tank protection, I am just looking for something to stop minor scratchers were my jacket and pants would rub. Any recommendations?

Try Stompgrip...they have custom and universal pieces. I have used their products on all my bikes, good quality and reasonable prices.

thanks YEB, I just ordered the full kit. I've never applied PPF before but after watching 100 videos on youtube I'm going to give it a go. I'll feel better having some protection on the bike while its still brand new.

^^^ I've used Tankslapper before and don't have anything bad to say. When I had my SF they didn't have a SF specific kit yet.

For my SF and Panigale V4S I went with Autotrimdesign since they allow you to order specific parts and I could select the Panigale parts which would fit the SF. Since I was familiar with the product, it's what I went with for the V4S.

I ordered parts L M N O P to cover the tank and side fairings where the rider would make contact with them. The film is good stuff too. When I noticed some scratches (swirls) on the long tank piece, I used a heat gun to gently warm it and the scratches disappeared.

I like Autotrim's pattern for the large piece for the tail and it has little relief cuts near the center. I tried fitting one which didn't have those cuts and it was an epic fail.

I just finished my PPF kit from tankslapperz. I did a full paint correction first. Took me 14 hours and there are some imperfections. But it's protected.

I added a ceramic coating to the fairings and wheels for easy cleaning.

The kit is affordable enough for me to redo it next year if I am bothered by some bubbles.

I want to get tank protection for my v2. Can you post some close up pics of your v2 tank where all the seams are? I wanna see how good it looks when its on a bike

Hard to see. I am a perfectionist and was skeptical about seams. But trust me, you forget about it and no one else sees.

looks good to me. i may do the same thing. Thanks for the pics

so I finally got a chance to start installing my invisible pattern PPF and what a disappointment. My only experience with any PPF has been simple large pieces on the hood of a few cars. I never though it was a hard procedure with basic shapes and flat surfaces. The fit of the precut pieces were terrible and everytime I thought they were secure it would bubble up again. re-spray, squeegee , and it just would not stick. I think I am going to look for a local shop to PPF the whole bike...
