So here we go again with these ...... hydraulics. Replaced the slave cylinder with an aftermarket version but still have clutch fade. It appears my master cylinder is the culprit as it doesn’t hold. Before I buy a new one is there anything else I could be missing? Bled the .... out of it and it builds pressure but if I hold it in I can hear the dry clutch slowly creak it’s way back out over the course of a few minutes. Replaced crush washers too on master and slave. Would seem the master is my last option.
It’s absolutely ridiculous to have to deal with this on a bike under a year old.

Yeah if you have installed a good billet clutch slave such as Oberon, STM or Yoyodine then the issue would be the master. The stock masters are gonna fail so next up would be a RSC and even better would be a XR brembo billet master.

Like Mick said, for some reason the OEM (entry level stuff) hydraulic components are pretty ....... Not sure why but the quality just isn’t there and the info in this thread is common place. The solution of course is to dump the master and slave and go with a better solution. I’m still running the same masters as I did when I built the bike 6 years ago and have replaced the oberon slave once on a refresh but only because it had faded to a nice pink. Other than that, I pretty much haven’t touched it. I seriously except for initial setup have not bled anything from a maintenance perspective. Aside from all that is the brand’s reluctance to address this issue which joins a long list of rather unacceptable issues from Ducati. Not so hot from a premium brand.
