So on Ducati v4 2020 400 miles I’ve had bad clutch judder so bad it’s unsafe . So just now realized after clutches laying there and waiting on new bearing. I’ve got a machanics blue print and it shows . First install flat .39 spacer .then your judder spring facing out and clutch disk and so on . Well my bike only came with judder spring only . I will check total height but is this normal . Or did Ducati leave this out ? Do other bikes have these two judder springs or one thanks

I have run the wet clutch with no chatter springs for years. I have run them with one and multiples. Never made a difference. The EVR that came off an RS motor had 5 of them and a thinner plates than the standard pack but more of them. There are a lot of variations.

As long as the machined surface on the clutch basket and the machined surface on the face plate are flat and parallel and your clutch pack steel plates are the same and the stack height is correct, you should have no issues. If you have chatter, something probably isn’t flat.

Wright so more info on this issue. I put pressure plate with bearing and mounted it and measured run out on pressure plate and found .002 out on duca bike and factory was worse . But I’ll follow up this conversation once new bearing comes in . Also had a tech tell me well that’s ok . But to me if it’s out you will feel it .
