Ok, this is my first Duc so I'm asking who is the go to high-end slave clutch cylinder manufacturer?

There's PSR, Oberon, CNC, Avanti, STM, and the list goes on. What diameter should I get?

I'm looking at the EVR and the Evoluzione:

Yoyodyne and evoluzione have always been the go to guys for slaves. Evoluzione is out of business, but yoyodyne makes good stuff, they're also the national distributor for brembo

Overthruster Ducati clutch slave cylinder assembly Fits all years

It's also available in black. Clutch slaves have come along way since the older ducs, and they're far better more reliable. It's not a must have replacement.

NVM it wont, it looks like it would interfere with the shift rod.

I like this for $120:

Does it need one, the clutch pull is so light compared to what every previous Ducati?

I don't like where it engages. I'm not complaining about the pull force. Hoping to get a longer piston. The Magura clutch on my KTM has a much better feel, I want it like that.

I guess what I'm getting at is should I go 26, 28, or 30? The description says the 28 does what I want. Any thoughts? I like these:

Dont have problems with Clutch Pull or Where it engages....just perfect. Best feel ever from all previous stock Ducatis in the past.

I'll replace it to a bigger diameter slave cylinder when it starts fooling around...but as of now, Clutch pull is light, feel and engagement is near perfect.

These are opinions. The pull is fine, the amount of pull distance before engaging the MC needed is sloppy to me. Try not to drink so much Ducati kool-aid. No one has been able to give any insight on piston size... which is purely objective. I want less.pull distance. Thanks... I've been web searching with no luck. Guess I'll have to pick a size.on faith.

Kyle, I m not sure you can change where the clutch engages on a hydraulic clutch, you can do it on a cable draw but not sure engagement point will change regardless of what slave cylinder you're running. Of course you can adjust the levers but that's not going to change the engage point. It just means the lever will be closer to the grip when it engages.

Thank you for the reply. That was my fear, other than seizure at high high temps. I think I'm looking at this wrong. I would likely need to be looking at master cylinders. I already have adjustable levers with adjustable pivot points, can't get it just right. I will likely put this on the burner until I get the other parts I want. It's $200 for the Cnc pani cylinder.

I know its an old thread but I'm reading this and thinking the exact same thing.

Did you work this out?

I now consider bleeding the clutch a monthly routine. It takes me 30 seconds and the feel firms up immediately. The new clutch definitely feels better, might have to replace the MC to fix everything.

Yeah I am thinking about buying the brembo rcs16 clutch master but not sure if its going to be an improvement or not.

Anyone gone down this road?

-- don't bother replacing any parts.....bleeding as part of your routine is much better - air pressure, oil level, chain lubed, clutch bled.......no big deal ;)

in general less diameter equals less pull stroke. if you want less pull pick a 2-3mm smaller diameter as stock.

I will take a look at the slave in the next few days and maybe get one made in our toolshop.

*cheapass* *betterthanyoucanbuy* LOL

So how does the Brembo RCS16 clutch master compare to the OEM brembo on our bike?
I know it gives you the option of 16mm or 18mm pull ration but is this just the same?

Just fitted an Oberon on my 2013 Pani - Exactly the same bore diameter as standard therefore no change in lever effort. Main point of changing is that the standard design is still affected by heat under certain conditions (heavy city traffic) and can dramatically increase load at the lever.

hope this helps
